South Africa is located at the southern most tip of Africa and is a
vast and incredibly varied country. It is famous for its wines and
is the world's largest producer of gold and platinum.
To
describe South Africa in just a few words is impossible. Each region
has its own flavour and its distinct landscape and climate.
The most popular areas with tourists are Cape Town, famous
for Table Mountain and the surrounding Cape Winelands; The Garden
Route which winds along the southern coast through fashionable
resorts and tiny seaside towns; Kruger National Park or one
of the smaller parks, for watching wildlife and Durban with
its busy Indian markets and incomparable beaches.
Cape Town city has
a thriving Gay culture and is one of the most Gay Friendly cities in
the World. Recently voted by the international media as one of the
Top 5 Gay travel destinations, Cape Town is a vibrant city filled
with energy, ideal Mediterranean type weather and loads to offer the
traveller.
A cosmopolitan
city offering you the opportunity to make your commitment to your
partner in a place of serene beauty… on the white sands of a remote
beach, in the vineyards of a world class wine estate or in the
shaded privacy of magical forest.

Documents which are required when foreigners want
to have Civil Union/Same Sex Marriage in South Africa.
-
Original Passport of each spouse
-
Copies of Passport of each spouse (the pages where A. number, B.
picture and C. the page that was stamped in the airport on your
arrival – to prove that you are in SA legally).
-
Valid
permit to South Africa ( this is point C above).
-
Passport size photo of each spouse.
-
A letter from attorney/notary certifying
that we have entered into an Ante nuptial contract, if the
couple so desired. (if you want this, you need to do it BEFORE
the day of the marriage).
-
Legible copies of
the divorce order/death certificate if applicable if any partner
was previously legally “attached”.
-
Some foreign
nationals have a Certificate of Civil Status. Some countries do
not have this. In any eventuality: all foreigners marry
in SA need an affidavit declaring their marital status in their
country of birth. I can do this for you, on special forms that
are recognised by the SA Home Affairs for the purpose of your
marriage.
What do I provide?
-
Checking that you have the right documents.
-
Filling in the special forms for foreigners.
-
Registration for the purpose of marriage.
-
Performance of wedding ceremony.
-
Immediately following the ceremony I give you the local SA
Marriage certificate.
-
I
apply on your behalf, for an unabridged marriage certificate
which will be recognised in other countries. (please note that
some countries recognise Civil Unions/ Same Sex Marriages, and
some do not).
-
When
the unabridged certificate is ready (can take anything between 1
to 3 months) I made sure it is verified by a notary and get an
apostil by the Supreme Court of SA.
-
I
send it to you wherever you are in the world, by registered
mail.
